The Keck Center has approximately 2200 clipped DRGs for Nevada. All clipped DRGs are geo-referenced in UTM Zone 11 NAD 83 and are in .tif format. The .tif images are zipped with .tfw files for georeferenceing.
These clipped DGRs are provided through the courtesy of the Nevada Department of Transportation.
About Clipped DRGs
Clipped DRGs are georeferenced .tif images of 7.5 minute (42k) Topographic maps which have had their collars removed. Clipped DRGs can be used in GIS software (digital mapping software).
The mission of the W. M. Keck Earth Sciences and Mining Research Information Center is to provide access for researchers, both on-site and from their remote desktops, to specialized bibliographic databases, scientific visualization and modeling packages, and geospatial data resources.
