Great Basin Geoscience Data Base

This data was originally compiled from contributions and assistance of several scientists of the U.S. Geological Survey and other federal and state agencies and is available on CD-ROM (USGS DDS - 41: Great Basin Geoscience Data Base, Vol. 1). For an overview of the data contained on the CD-ROM click here.
The original map themes are in Lambert projection. The projection attributes are specified in the Complete Catalog for the USGS Great Basin Geoscience Data Base (includes metadata) The themes have been reprojected using ArcView's Projection Wizard to Geographic (lat./long.) and UTM, NAD 27. After downloading and unzipping, the map themes can be opened in ArcView as shapefiles. |
